Our face masks fit most people however there are exceptions.
Should you find your Ashford Twist face mask is not fitting comfortably here are a few things you can do:
Elastic is too long:
Just tie a knot in each end of the elastic braid to shorten the length. Don't tie it too tight until you are sure that is the right comfortable fit for you. Once satisfied, you can tighten up the knot. The knot will be hidden behind your ear so there's no need to worry about it being unsightly.
Alternatively; you may also choose to sew the elastic with needle and thread to shorten the length*. The excess elastic can be cut off if so desired.
Elastic is too short:
Put the elastic on each end of the face mask around an object such as a soup can, or large pop bottle and let it stretch the elastic for about 20-30 minutes. Make sure you don't over stretch the elastic more than you need to wear it comfortably on your face. If need be do this process a bit at a time beginning with a smaller object to achieve the stretching gradually going up in size to a larger object to increasing the stretching until you achieve the desired fit.
Face mask is not covering from the bridge of my nose to my chin:
With a seam ripper or a pair of scissors, carefully cut the stitching to open up the top pleet (without cutting the fabric). This will allow the mask to be longer to cover more area. If you are not able to do this on your own, we encourage you obtain the services of a seamstress"
*Dry cleaning companies usually have seamstresses on hand who can help you achieve this as well as sew the elastic should you wish to employ their services.
